The GSASA Archive room is on the second floor of the GSASA Assembly Building, behind project space 2 (20 Scott Street, G36PE). It can be visited via booking through the [email protected] email address.

When placing a new item into the GSASA archives, we follow this sequence to determine its category and therefore location:
First – is it related to GSASA (student-led) societies?
Yes – add to “societies”
No –
Is it related to food or speculative?
Yes – add to “food” or “speculative” respectively
No –
Is it related to the Student Representative Council (SRC) (including funding committee, campaigns committee, and societies committee), sabbatical elections and/or project space exhibitions/workshops/events?
Yes – add to “student representation”
No –
Is it related to social justice?
Yes – add to “social justice”. And – determine its subcategory – “anti-war”, “climate”, “education”, “politics”, “social justice (other)”
No –
Is it related to personal stories or soft?
Yes – add to “personal stories” or “soft” (open to interpretation e.g. soft material, soft subject...)
No –
Is it a publication, zine, or printed booklet?
Yes – add to “publications”
No –
Is it related to organised fun or the building?
Yes – add to “organised fun” or to “the building” respectively. And, if “organised fun” – determine its subcategory – “Freshers week”, “Degree show afterparty”, “Activities Week”, “Fashion Show”, “Ephemera: events photos and objects”, “handmade posters”, or “event posters (general)”
No – if it does not fit into any of these categories, then a new one needs making...
